Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents during night shifts per the plan of care.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered; monitor for adverse effects and document.
- Monitor vital signs, report changes to the supervising nurse, and respond to emergencies per policy.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting safety, dignity, and privacy.
- Document care provided in the medical record and communicate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
- Uphold infection control and safety standards in a long-term care setting.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico (or eligibility per regulatory requirements)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to work night shift (18:00–06:30) and 12-hour shifts
- Education: graduate of an approved practical nursing program
- Experience: long-term care or geriatrics experience preferred
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting and to operate in a local assignment
