Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for patients on the Med Surg unit using the nursing process.
- Assess patient conditions, develop plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
- Administer medications, monitor for adverse reactions, and adjust care as needed.
- Supervise and direct activities of licensed and unlicensed nursing staff on the unit.
- Coordinate care with physicians, case management, therapists, and other disciplines.
- Document care accurately and maintain clinical standards, patient safety, and quality of care.
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Med Surg experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in an inpatient setting
- Willingness to travel for a 14-week assignment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
