Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, including rapid assessment, triage, stabilization, and initial treatment plans
- Administer medications, start IVs, monitor patient status, and interpret telemetry as applicable
- Document care and interventions in the electronic health record; communicate with the interdisciplinary team
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure patient safety, infection control, and high-quality care
- Coordinate discharge planning, patient education, and referrals as appropriate
- May be asked to float to other units within the health system if necessary and as patient needs dictate
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license; license must be valid at submission
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC; PALS or ENPC (equivalency) required
- Experience: 2+ years telemetry experience; 1 year of prior travel experience preferred; telemetry experience required
- Education: Current RN licensure in Massachusetts
- Onboarding requirements: Flu vaccine required; telemetry test administered on first day (pass/fail), with pass required to continue; MA license required at submission
- Additional: Biweekly orientation; must be separated for a minimum of 6 months from prior perm, per diem, or contract roles
