Responsibilities
- Provide intrapartum care with 1:1 labor management, sterile vaginal exams, fetal monitoring (external/internal, IUPC), and SVE as required.
- Assist and circulate for cesarean deliveries; participate in perioperative care and recovery.
- Neonatal/newborn care, including NRP, newborn assessments, thermoregulation, and transition support.
- Postpartum and couplet care: hemorrhage management, breastfeeding support, and discharge teaching.
- Manage high-risk antepartum scenarios (preeclampsia/HELLP, magnesium sulfate, induction/oxytocin, VBAC management) and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team.
- Document patient care in the charting system (Epic); collaborate with obstetric, anesthesia, nursing, respiratory, social services, and interpretation teams; participate in continuous quality and safety activities.

Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of Washington (compact RN license must be in hand at submission); WA- or compact-licensed candidates considered.
- Certifications: BLS (BCLS), ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate OR Relias Fetal Monitoring (all hard stops).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical RN experience; first-time travel RNs accepted; experience in facilities with 200+ deliveries preferred (100–200 deliveries acceptable).
- Ability to work in a high-risk perinatal setting; willingness to float to postpartum and nearby facilities as needed.
- Weekend shifts required; Holiday commitment: must work 3 of the 5 listed holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day).
- Orientation: 40 hours of pre-start modules.
- Epic charting experience or proficiency expected.
