Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse, Operating Room (OR) – Hanford, CA, United States. Travel - temporary assignment starting 06/29/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,473–$2,592 per week. Shift: Days, 8-hour shifts (40 hours per week). The OR services department delivers intraoperative patient care and supports related operating room functions. This role includes coordinating care with the surgical team and other disciplines, with emphasis on patient safety, nursing processes, and professional judgment. The position involves direct patient care in the operating room setting and may include involvement with perioperative services beyond the core intraoperative scope.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients in the operating room according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned OR nursing staff during the perioperative period.
- Coordinate intraoperative care with the surgical team, anesthesia, and other disciplines while applying critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment.
- Maintain patient safety and aseptic technique; document care and update patient records accurately.
- Assist with room setup, equipment readiness, and turnover to support efficient OR operations.
- Operate within the department scope, noting that this role includes intraoperative care and other OR support functions; it does not include PACU, anesthesia functions, pre-op holding, or central sterile activities.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Operating Room/perioperative experience preferred
- Knowledge of perioperative nursing process, patient safety, and aseptic technique
- Ability to supervise, coordinate, and communicate effectively with OR staff and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and professional judgment skills
- Ability to work a days shift, 8 hours per day
