Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult patients in the PCU/IMCU with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor vital signs, hemodynamics, telemetry, and laboratory data; detect and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments, including heparin drips, per physician orders; ensure accuracy and safety
- Collaborate with physicians, case management, respiratory therapy, and other team members to implement and adjust the plan of care
- Perform ongoing patient assessment, documentation, and care plan updates in the electronic medical record
- Support discharge planning and patient/family education as appropriate for the unit
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/IMCU or equivalent unit nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and manage a 1:4 patient load in a high-acuity unit
- Willingness to travel to Atlanta, GA for a temporary assignment
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
