Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Dundee, Kansas. Start date 09/13/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,450–$2,536 per week. Guaranteed hours: none. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights. Setting: Short-Term Acute Care Hospital. This assignment requires an active RN license with L&D-specific certifications and relevant obstetric experience.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct obstetric nursing care for laboring patients, including monitoring contractions and fetal heart rates; respond to non-reassuring fetal status.
- Assist with deliveries and newborn care, including initial stabilization when needed; support postpartum assessment and education.
- Administer medications and anesthesia adjuncts per orders; monitor maternal vitals and fetal status; document care in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
- Collaborate with the obstetric team and support staff; coordinate patient education on labor, birth plans, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
- Maintain patient safety and policy compliance, assist with handoffs, and participate in on-call and weekend coverage as required.
- May float to medical-surgical units to support overflow and provide pediatric care on those units as needed.
Requirements
- Active RN license (in good standing)
- Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP; must have taken a fetal monitoring class within the past 24 months
- Credentialing: must be committed to obtaining PALS prior to start; credentials due 1 week prior to start
- Experience: 2 years of L&D experience required; 3+ years in L&D preferred; willing to float to MS and care for pediatric patients
- EPIC experience highly preferred
- Start date: 09/13/2026; 13-week contract; Nights shift
- Weekend requirements: every other weekend; on-call 2–3 shifts per month; holidays in rotation
