Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – ER travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. Start date 07/13/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay $1,821–$1,871. Schedule: 3x12-hour days (36 hours weekly) with no guaranteed hours. Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment in a hospital-level emergency department setting. The ER unit is a 28-bed department with 4 trauma bays, 2 behavioral health rooms, and 22 cardiac monitor rooms. Active Hawaii RN licensure is required by start of assignment.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adults and, as appropriate, pediatric patients in the ER, including triage, initial assessment, and ongoing care planning
- Monitor patient status with cardiac monitors; administer medications and treatments as ordered; assist with procedures and trauma resuscitation as needed
- Collaborate with ED physicians, techs, and ancillary staff to optimize patient flow and safety
- Document patient findings, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record; ensure infection control and safety practices
- Respond to emergencies, participate in rapid assessment and disposition decisions, and support fast-paced patient turnover
Requirements
- Current Hawaii state license to practice as a professional nurse; Hawaii license must be active by start of assignment
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- Ability to work in a high-volume emergency department environment
- Must arrive the Thursday prior to start to participate in employee health processes
- Travel assignment requirements: flexible schedule, able to work 3x12-hour day shifts
