Travel Radiology Tech MRI Tech Job
MRI Technologist (MR) – Montclair, New Jersey. This travel assignment involves work in a hospital setting with a community-hospital focus. Start date is 09/14/2026 for a multi-week assignment. Weekly pay ranges from $2,551 to $2,740. There are no guaranteed hours. Primary shift is Monday–Friday, 3:00pm–8:00pm, with additional contract weekend/weekday shifts available. On-call coverage is 8 hours per pay period (every other Sunday). This role requires a state or compact MRI license in hand at submittal, ARMRIT or ARRT (MR) certification, BLS, and a minimum of 1 year MRI experience. Epic charting is used for patient documentation.

Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations including brain, spine, MSK, abdomen, pelvis, breast, vascular (MRA/MRV) and routine adult outpatient/acute exams; ensure high-quality images and patient safety.
- Prepare and position patients, establish IV access as needed, and administer contrast per protocol; monitor for adverse reactions.
- Operate Siemens MRI systems; optimize sequences, select appropriate coils, and conduct safety checks to protect patients and staff.
- Maintain accurate Epic charting and radiology workflow, including order entry, documentation, and image transfer.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV team, Respiratory, Interpretation services, Radiology, Rapid Response, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary) to support patient care and timely imaging.
- Complete onboarding tasks: core items/labs within 48 hours of contract signing; onsite orientation modules 2–3 hours.
Requirements
- Active state or compact MRI license in hand at time of submittal
- ARMRIT or ARRT (MR), and BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year MRI experience
- Epic charting experience
- Siemens MRI experience preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
- Ability to work in an adult patient population
- Note: 50-mile radius rule applies
