Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult telemetry/step-down patients, including rhythm monitoring, interpretation of EKGs, and rapid response to rhythm disturbances.
- Administer medications per order, including cardiac agents and vasoactive drips, with continuous hemodynamic assessment and documentation.
- Care for post-cardiac cath/ surgery patients; pacemaker/AICD care; assist with cardioversions, ablations, and related procedures; monitor for complications.
- Manage patients with heart failure, ACS, arrhythmias, and hypertensive crises; support respiratory modalities such as HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP as needed.
- Maintain peripheral/central/PICC line care, administer blood products per policy, and perform basic wound care as appropriate.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; document in the electronic medical record (EPIC); participate in rounds, handoffs, and discharge planning.

Requirements
- Current RN license in Missouri or eligibility per licensing rules; MO allows submission without a license; IL requires license in hand; Compact licenses must match permanent residence or be updated.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Telemetry/Step-Down experience required; minimum 2 years RN experience; travel experience preferred.
- Relias EKG test required prior to start.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced adult cardiac telemetry/step-down unit and provide care across the specified patient population.
