Respiratory Therapist – Registered (RRT) is sought for a travel assignment in Burlington, Vermont, starting May 4, 2026. The 32-week assignment is in an inpatient hospital setting, working a 3x12-hour night shift. Weekly pay ranges from $2,440 to $2,642, with no guaranteed hours beyond the contract. This travel - temporary assignment requires weekends as needed and schedule flexibility, and prior teaching-hospital experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care for adult ICU and ED patients; NICU level III care is required; PICU is preferred
- Manage ventilator support, airway care, ABG collection and interpretation, and administration of inhaled therapies
- Assess, initiate, monitor, and adjust respiratory therapies in accordance with physician orders and protocols
- Document findings and interventions in the electronic medical record; participate in rounds and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team
- Support NICU level III and teaching-hospital operations; respond to emergencies per hospital protocols; ensure patient safety and quality of care
- Maintain required certifications and training (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP; NRP required upon submission) and ensure NBRC verification and Epic experience within the past 2 years
Requirements
- Active RRT credential; NBRC verification; NRP required upon submission; ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience; inpatient ICU/ED experience required; NICU Level III experience required; PICU experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Teaching-hospital setting experience preferred
- Reliable transportation required; public transportation is not accessible in the area
- Ability to work a 3x12-hour night shift; weekends and holidays as required
