Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for adolescent patients in an inpatient behavioral health setting, following established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess patients, plan and implement care, and document progress accurately and timely.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with multidisciplinary team members.
- Apply critical thinking and professional judgment to prioritize safety, de-escalation, and patient-focused care.
- Administer medications as prescribed, monitor patient responses, and report changes promptly.
- Respond to emergencies using appropriate protocols and collaborate with other disciplines to optimize patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California.
- Experience in inpatient behavioral health or a closely related setting is preferred.
- Ability to work evening shifts and participate in a 5-day workweek schedule.
- Demonstrated ability to work with adolescent patients and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of nursing standards of practice and safety policies in an inpatient environment.
