Speech Language Pathologist in Hilltop, West Virginia. This is a travel, temporary assignment starting 05/11/2026 for 13 weeks in a long-term care setting delivering skilled speech-language pathology services. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing functions for residents.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans; provide direct therapy and monitor progression toward goals.
- Document evaluation findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes in the resident’s medical record; maintain confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care plans, therapy approaches, and discharge planning.
- Administer swallowing assessments when indicated; recommend texture modifications and compensatory strategies; provide patient and caregiver education.
- Participate in care conferences and adjust goals based on progress and changing clinical needs.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active West Virginia state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist, or eligibility for licensure.
- CCC-SLP certification or eligibility preferred.
- Ability to work in a travel assignment for 13 weeks and adapt to a new care environment.
- Relevant clinical experience in rehabilitation or long-term care settings is preferred.
