Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to telemetry patients using RN standards of practice and clinical judgment
- Monitor telemetry data, interpret rhythm strips, respond to alarms, and escalate clinical concerns as needed
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; document accurately in the EMR
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans; coordinate with unit staff and physicians
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance; educate patients and families about telemetry monitoring and care
- Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the specified electronic medical record system
Requirements
- License: MO or Compact RN license; BLS and ACLS required
- Experience: 1+ year of Telemetry RN experience
- Education: BSN preferred; new graduates not accepted
- Clinical: Ability to work in a hospital telemetry unit; comfortable with 12-hour day shifts
- EMR: Proficiency with Altera Sunrise (Allscripts) is not required; training will be provided
