RN - ICU in Bakersfield, California, United States. This travel, temporary assignment supports a home healthcare - hospice setting. Start date: April 13, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,903–$1,950 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts. Responsibilities
- Provide direct, high-acuity nursing care for medically unstable patients in a home-based, non-surgical context; continuously assess and respond to changes in condition.
- Monitor vital signs, manage IV therapy, and administer medications per physician orders while documenting care accurately.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-centered care plans; communicate changes to families and caregivers.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, perform frequent neurovascular, respiratory, and hemodynamic assessments, and escalate concerns promptly.
- Support family education on disease process, symptom management, and end-of-life care as appropriate to the setting.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- ICU/critical care experience preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN)
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts on a three-day-per-week schedule in a high-acuity environment
- Adaptable to a travel assignment and home-based care setting
