Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to residents under the supervision of a registered nurse, following physician orders and facility policy.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, document accurately, and report adverse reactions or changes in condition.
- Monitor residents’ vital signs, daily activity, and overall status; recognize and escalate concerns promptly.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and personal hygiene while preserving resident dignity.
- Maintain a safe and clean care environment; adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and charting requirements.
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, family members, and on-site staff to ensure continuity of care and appropriate care planning.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state of Washington.
- Graduation from an approved practical nursing program.
- Ability to work the documented shift (06:00–14:30) and participate in a 5-week travel assignment.
- Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferred; applicants comfortable in a LTC setting will be considered.
- Successful completion of credentialing and compliance requirements (background check, drug screening) as part of the onboarding process.
- Effective communication, documentation accuracy, and ability to work under supervision in a team environment.
