Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for PCU patients, including ongoing assessments, medication administration, and monitoring of vital signs and hemodynamics.
- Manage respiratory therapy needs as ordered, including BiPAP support, and monitor patient response and weaning per protocol.
- Assist with invasive lines and tubes (PICC lines, chest tubes) and perform or support related procedures; collect and process lab specimens as needed.
- Float to ICU and other inpatient units (Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, ED) as required; initiate consults and participate in codes when vascular access teams are unavailable.
- Document patient status, care plans, and interventions in EPIC; communicate clearly with the care team about changes in condition and ongoing needs.

Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license or Compact RN license; BLS, ACLS, and NIHF required.
- Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU or Emergency Department experience.
- Experience with BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines; ability to draw own labs; comfortable conducting codes.
- Ability to float to ICU and all inpatient units; EPIC EMR experience preferred.
- Open-heart Day 2 or Day 3 experience with pacer wires is preferred.
- Shift readiness for 3x12-hour night schedule; weekend coverage every other weekend; nicotine-free facility environment.
