Responsibilities
- Assess residents’ physical and functional abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
- Implement therapy interventions to improve activities of daily living and functional independence.
- Document progress, outcomes, and recommendations in resident records in a timely, compliant manner.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support discharge planning and goals adjustment.
- Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive equipment, compensatory strategies, and safety to optimize participation in daily activities.
- Reassess goals regularly and modify plans to meet evolving needs across assigned sites.
Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Washington state or eligibility for licensure
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting and contribute to a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Willingness and ability to travel between two WA sites for the duration of the assignment
