Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to adults undergoing Cath Lab procedures, following the nursing process and established standards of care
- Assist with Cath Lab procedures, including structural heart, vascular, diagnostic, Impella, ECMO, and emergent cath cases
- Monitor patients’ hemodynamics and vital signs during procedures; administer medications as prescribed and reinforce safety protocols
- Collaborate with cardiology, anesthesia, radiology, and other members of the care team; participate in planning and discharge coordination
- Maintain sterile technique and infection control practices; document care in the electronic health record and communicate patient needs to the team
- Provide patient and family education and contribute to ongoing discharge planning and care transitions
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required
- Minimum 5 years Cath Lab nursing experience; experience must include structural heart, vascular, diagnostic, Impella, ECMO, and emergent cath cases
- EPIC experience required
- BSN preferred
- Ability to work 2 days per week of on-call and 1–2 weekends per month; able to support a day-shift schedule
