Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) – Massena, NY – Start 05/26/2026 – Travel assignment lasting several weeks – $2,070 to $2,152 per week – Guaranteed hours: 0.0 – Shift: 3x12 Nights – Facility type: Critical Access Hospital ED

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department for adult and pediatric populations, including triage and initial assessment.
- Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias; manage cardiac and hemodynamic instability; administer IV therapies and vasopressors as ordered.
- Initiate and maintain IV access; perform phlebotomy; prepare and administer blood products as needed.
- Perform procedural sedation when indicated; support care of ventilated patients (BiPAP/CPAP) and manage airway adjuncts.
- Adhere to isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and infection control measures; coordinate with Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary to deliver comprehensive care.
- Document using EPIC; manage medication administration through Pyxis; communicate clearly using SBAR with the care team and family members.
Requirements
- Active New York RN license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of clinical ER experience; traveler assignments not accepted for first-time travelers
- Prior charge nurse/charge experience preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required; TNCC preferred
- Must be able to work in a high-acuity ED with a 1:3 patient ratio; ability to float as needed within unit guidelines
- RTO: 7 days MAX (pre-approved time off as permitted)
