Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – ER, Fairfield, IA, United States. Start 07/06/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment in a Critical Access Hospital ER. Weekly pay range $2,121–$2,278 with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Shift: 3x12 nights. This role requires Iowa RN licensure and ER nursing capability within a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide total patient care in the ER using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Direct and/or coordinate patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel; maintain professional nursing standards.
- Monitor and document patient conditions, administer medications, and respond to changes in patient status.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to implement and adjust care plans.
- Ensure accurate documentation, adherence to policies, and infection control practices; uphold patient safety and confidentiality.
Requirements
- Active Iowa RN license in good standing
- BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- ER nursing experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work the listed schedule and in a Critical Access Hospital ER; ability to meet health and credentialing requirements
Additional Health & Credentialing Notes
- Immunizations: MMR, Varicella (titer or vaccination as appropriate), Polio, Hepatitis B (series or titer), TDaP, and annual flu vaccination
- TB testing: 2-step TB within 1 year or QuantiFERON Gold with chest x-ray if positive
- Physical examination within 1 year; 10-panel drug screen within 1 month
- Respiratory Fit Test (available through client if needed)
- Comprehensive background checks and clearances per policy (including criminal background, OIG, SAM.gov where applicable, and mandatory reporter training)
- Documentation of licensure, certifications, and health items prior to start date
