Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to ED patients across triage, stabilization, interventions, and disposition (discharge, transfer, or admission).
- Monitor patient condition, administer medications and treatments per physician orders, perform essential ED procedures, and assist with point-of-care testing as needed.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record; communicate clearly with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Manage ED patient flow, prioritizing high-acuity cases, coordinating with inpatient units for boarding patients, and supporting bed management to optimize throughput.
- Respond to clinical emergencies, participate in rapid assessments and code/rapid response events, while maintaining infection control and patient safety standards.
- May be asked to float to med/surg, stepdown, or ICU units to support capacity while maintaining scope of practice and competency in the ED.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of ED experience in a similarly sized Level 1 trauma facility
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Resume with no gaps, ED skills checklist, and ED references; load demographics and badge photo
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity ED and float to adjacent acute care units as needed
- Willingness to work night shifts (12-hour shifts) with guaranteed 36 hours per week for an 8-week assignment starting 04/20/2026
