Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Hanford, California. Start date: 09/07/2026. Duration: 8 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,345–$2,404 per week. Guaranteed hours: 48 per week. Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital. This assignment requires an RN with acute care ER experience, able to work in a high-volume environment on a temporary basis.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or an assigned group, following the nursing process and established standards.
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; monitor and respond to changes in patient status; administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Supervise and direct nursing staff at varying levels; coordinate care with physicians, case management, discharge planning, and other disciplines.
- Document care and outcomes in EPIC and Cerner EMR systems; ensure accurate, timely charting and compliance with policies.
- Provide patient and family education; participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care; promote a safe, healing environment and infection control practices.
Requirements
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS or ARC-ALS required; other AH policies may apply
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent ER or acute care nursing experience
- Education: BSN preferred
- EMR: Experience with EPIC and Cerner preferred; EPIC experience required for backfill
- Other: Ability to work night shifts in a high-volume ER and to adapt to a travel assignment environment
