Travel Respiratory Therapist Registered Respiratory Therapist Job
Hilo’s clinical environment combines island vitality with professional rigor. Working here means you’ll join a network that prioritizes patient safety, teamwork, and innovation in respiratory care. You’ll benefit from access to modern equipment and dedicated mentors who value evidence-based practice while honoring local culture and patient preferences. The broader program also provides the option to work in other locations across the United States, expanding your exposure to diverse case mixes and settings—from metropolitan centers to rural communities—so you can refine your clinical judgment and adapt your communication style to varied teams and patient populations. This blend of local impact and national mobility offers a compelling path for growth without losing the sense of place that Hawaii provides.
Role specifics and benefits: As a Respiratory Therapist in this assignment, you’ll perform comprehensive respiratory assessments, calibrate and monitor ventilators, manage weaning protocols, perform airway clearance techniques, deliver prescribed therapies such as nebulizers and aerosolized meds, and monitor arterial blood gases to guide treatment decisions. You’ll document care with precision, participate in rounds, and collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and respiratory therapy colleagues to optimize patient outcomes. There is ample opportunity for professional growth through on-site and remote education, certification support, and exposure to high-acuity populations. Compensation reflects the value you bring, with a weekly pay range of 1,833 to 1,951, and you’ll have access to bonus opportunities, housing assistance, and the possibility of contract extensions that align with your career goals. You’ll also receive comprehensive support from a dedicated travel team, including 24/7 assistance while you’re on assignment, travel logistics help, and resources to ease relocation or housing search. It’s a program designed to empower you to deliver excellence while maintaining work-life balance in a setting that invites exploration and rest.
Company values: Our organization is committed to empowering its staff, fostering career advancement, and maintaining a supportive, inclusive work environment. You’ll find mentors who champion your success, colleagues who value collaboration, and leadership that listens. The culture is grounded in professional integrity, continuous learning, and a shared mission to improve patient care through compassionate, evidence-based respiratory therapy. Whether you are transitioning from another specialty or advancing an established RRT career, you’ll discover opportunities to expand your scope, pursue specialization tracks, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives that shape practice standards across facilities.
