Responsibilities
- Perform bedside speech-language pathology evaluations and ongoing therapy for adult inpatients per physician orders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders; monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Conduct swallow assessments and dysphagia management; MBS/FEES proficiency is a plus but not required.
- Document patient status and progress in the medical record; communicate findings with the multidisciplinary team and participate in discharge planning.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, dietitians, and other therapists to coordinate care and ensure patient safety and quality of care.
- Provide patient and family education on communication strategies, compensatory techniques, and dysphagia safety.

Requirements
- Active Georgia license for Speech-Language Pathology with CCC-SLP credential
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- AHA BLS certification required
- 15–18 months of recent acute care experience in the specialty (adult inpatients)
- Experience with a wide range of medical/surgical diagnoses, including ICU, stroke/neurological, dysphagia, and cognitive concerns
- MBS/FEES proficiency is a plus but not required
- Ability to work effectively in an acute care, multidisciplinary environment
