Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse, Med Surg – Rochester, NY. This is a travel - temporary assignment starting 04/27/2026 for 13 weeks, working 12-hour shifts (D/E/N rotating) with on-call, weekends and holidays as required by unit needs. Weekly pay ranges from $2,022 to $2,119 per week. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Med Surg orthopedic unit, including post-operative and trauma patients
- Monitor patient status, assess needs, and respond to changes in condition with appropriate interventions
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform routine clinical procedures per scope of practice
- Maintain telemetry monitoring and ensure accurate documentation in the medical record
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, charge nurses, therapists, and other care team members; participate in rounds and care planning
- Assist with discharge planning, patient education, and coordination with families and ancillary services
Requirements
- RN license in New York (NY only)
- Orthopedic unit experience required: 2 years
- Telemetry experience required
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- Ability to work rotating D/E/N shifts and to be available for weekends, holidays, and on-call as required by unit needs
