Registered Nurse – OR (Travel) in Exeter, New Hampshire. Start date: November 30, 2026. Assignment length: 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,984–$3,074 per week. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for adult and pediatric patients across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases in the operating room.
- Monitor patient status, vital signs, and anesthesia-related considerations; maintain sterile technique and accurate instrument counts; ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff; document care in the EPIC electronic health record; manage equipment, instrumentation, and room turnover efficiently.
- Communicate with patients and families as appropriate, prepare cases, perform time-outs, and adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in on-call rotations as scheduled (call every 3-4 weekends; Saturday 7am–Mon 7am) and respond to intraoperative needs as required.
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission
- Nursing degree from an accredited program; active RN licensure required
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) required
- EPIC experience required; proficient in electronic medical records
- Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience in an inpatient setting; travel and trauma hospital experience considered
- Flu vaccination required prior to start; no religious exemptions accepted
- Ability to work in a hospital OR setting with pediatric and adult diagnoses familiarity
