Travel Registered Nurse Charge - Acute Care Job
Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting, Geneva, New York. This travel assignment starts July 6, 2026 and runs for 14 weeks, with a rotating 3x12-hour schedule (days and nights, including weekends and holidays) and two on-call shifts every four weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,901 to $2,042 per week. This is a travel - temporary assignment with no guaranteed minimum hours.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients and families in the ED.
- Perform triage, conduct primary and secondary assessments, and establish care priorities per appropriate standards.
- Administer interventions for life-threatening and routine ED conditions using invasive and non-invasive procedures as skilled.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, mentor others as appropriate, and maintain a Healing Environment to reduce patient anxiety.
- Educate patients and families, prepare for diagnostic procedures, and coordinate referrals for post-emergency care.
- Maintain infection prevention practices and document care, patient progress, and discharge instructions; update patient communication boards as needed.
Requirements
- Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications, and Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI) required
- Two years of acute hospital RN experience, with at least one year in an ED setting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ED environment, manage multiple patients, and perform triage and critical interventions
- Availability for rotating 3x12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as scheduled
