Occupational Therapist – Specialty: Occupational Therapist. Morrisville, Vermont, United States. Start date: 04/20/2026. Assignment duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,292–$1,390 per week. Responsibilities
- Conduct OT evaluations and deliver treatment for inpatients, including individuals in the emergency department, those admitted to acute care, and patients transitioning home from the PACU; establish goals and document progress.
- Provide evidence-based OT interventions addressing activities of daily living, motor functions, cognitive-perceptual skills, and safety/independence in daily tasks; develop and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Participate in weekend and holiday inpatient rotations as part of the multidisciplinary team; collaborate with nursing, physicians, and other therapists; ensure timely communication of patient status and discharge planning needs.
- In outpatient pathways, perform evaluations and deliver therapy across sites supported by therapy services, including potential aquatic therapy; coordinate care with site leadership and referral sources to optimize outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record; track progress toward goals; communicate changes in status and needs to patients, families, and care teams.
- Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements; engage in quality improvement activities and participate in care coordination to support seamless transitions of care.
Requirements
- License: active occupational therapy license requirements as described in the Job Notes Section
- Certifications: required certifications as described in the Job Notes Section
- Experience: relevant OT experience in inpatient and/or outpatient settings as described in the Job Notes Section
- Education: OT degree and related educational requirements as described in the Job Notes Section
- Ability to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings and meet credentialing criteria for this travel assignment
