Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for a patient population in Med/Surg, using the nursing process
- Collect relevant data, assess, develop a plan, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes
- Administer medications, monitor responses, manage IV therapy, and monitor patient status
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team, coordinate care, and participate in discharge planning
- Provide patient and family education; document care accurately; ensure safe, healing, and humane care
- Supervise and/or coordinate duties of other nursing staff as assigned; delegate appropriately
Requirements
- Licenses: Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from an approved vendor per policy
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in acute care/Med/Surg or equivalent field
- Education: BSN preferred
- Additional: Ability to work in a hospital Med/Surg setting and to fulfill night-shift requirements
