Responsibilities
- Perform endoscope reprocessing and campus-wide instrument sterilization for the facility and associated clinics
- Operate sterilization equipment (e.g., Sterrad/Steris), perform steam and other sterilization cycles, manual cleaning, ultrasonic cleaning, washers, and loaders
- Assemble instruments and sets, manage case carts and loaner trays, and ensure proper labeling, wrapping, and sterility monitoring
- Conduct sterility testing and maintain accurate documentation of processes; chart activities in Epic
- Maintain infection control practices, inventory accuracy, and collaboration with clinical and perioperative services as needed
- Adhere to safety, regulatory, and quality standards; participate in ongoing unit and process improvements
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years sterile processing experience
- Certification in sterile processing (CBSPD / IAHCSMM / HSPA / Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution or Registered Central Service Technician)
- BLS required
- Epic charting experience required
- Endoscope reprocessing experience required
- COVID-19 vaccine not required; First-timers accepted
- Travel-ready with vehicle for assignment; must meet compliance requirements (e.g., pre-start modules, background checks)
