Nephrology Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Nights. This travel assignment is in Saint Louis, Missouri, US. Start date: 05/18/2026. Duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: $2,089–$2,216. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Nights (3x12-hour shifts). Setting: Acute care unit with nephrology telemetry and peritoneal dialysis requirements. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult nephrology telemetry patients, including those requiring peritoneal dialysis
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret/manage dysrhythmias; respond to telemetry alarms and changes in patient status
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; manage IV care and exchanges related to dialysis as appropriate
- Document assessment, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EPIC); communicate with interdisciplinary team
- Collaborate with ancillary services (IV team, physical therapy, radiology, phlebotomy, social work) and participate in rapid response as needed
- Observe for signs of renal failure, unstable cardiac conditions (HF, a-fib, MI), and other complications; implement appropriate escalation and discharge planning as directed
Requirements
- Active RN license in Missouri or pending Missouri licensure accepted per policy
- Certifications: BCLS/BLS and NIHSS
- Experience: 1–2 years preferred; first-timers accepted
- Specialty/skills: Telemetry interpretation, nephrology care, peritoneal dialysis experience
- Orientation: 40 hours
- Healthcare setting: Ability to work in an acute care telemetry/nephrology unit; floating to similar units within service line/affiliate hospitals as needed
- Schedule/requirements: Night shift; nurse-to-patient ratios typically 1:5–6; floating may occur; no RTO in the first week; no more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract
- Local candidate restrictions: Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted
