Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg is available for a travel assignment in Templeton, California. The position starts on 08/03/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,956 to $2,099 per week, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift is 3x12-hour Nights. The role is on a Short Term Acute Care Hospital medical/surgical unit, requiring effective bedside care, coordination with the health care team, and patient education.

Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate nursing care for medical/surgical patients across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
- Assess and monitor patient status, administer medications (including IV therapy and blood products), and manage associated equipment.
- Implement and adjust age-appropriate care plans; address physiological changes and psychosocial needs; collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
- Initiate and supervise care plans, delegate tasks to ancillary personnel according to scope of practice, and evaluate care outcomes.
- Support specialized tasks as noted, including epidural management, care of acute post-op wounds, sterile technique, and assessment of vascular patency.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatments, medications, wound care, and post-discharge care; tailor education to age, condition, culture, and learning readiness.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
- At least two years of recent experience in a Med/Surg setting
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Ability to work on the Med/Surg unit in the assigned shift; comfort with 3x12-hour night shifts
