Registered Nurse – Charge, Acute Care. This travel assignment is in Geneva, New York, United States. Start date: 07/20/2026 for a 17-week contract. Weekly pay range: $1,950–$2,087. Shift: 4x9 Days (36 hours per week). Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital. The role supports perioperative care with operating room circulator responsibilities across multiple surgical service lines and includes on-call coverage as needed.

Responsibilities
- Circulate in the operating room for multiple service lines, including Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, ENT, GI, Spine, Ophthalmology, and Podiatry, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety.
- Assist the surgical team with instrument handling, counts, tissue management, and communication with anesthesia during procedures.
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, document events, and participate in hand-off communications to postoperative teams.
- Manage on-call coverage as the sole OR RN on site when required and coordinate with perioperative leadership to maintain workflow.
- Maintain readiness for cross-training across service lines and support a safe, efficient, and patient-centered surgical environment.
- Adhere to infection prevention protocols and participate in quality and safety activities as part of the perioperative team.
Requirements
- Active NY State RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through AHA/RQI
- OR circulator experience required; minimum 2 years in an operating room
- Ability to work in a fast-paced OR setting and handle on-call responsibilities
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN); BSN preferred
- NIHSS certification (as applicable) and ability to perform duties across the listed service lines
