Responsibilities
- Perform OB, abdominal, DVT/venous, carotid, breast, and basic ultrasound exams across pediatric through adult patients.
- Operate ultrasound equipment, acquire high-quality images, and document results in EPIC; communicate findings to the interpreting clinician.
- Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures; biopsies preferred; maintain sterile technique and patient safety.
- Prepare patients, explain procedures, position patients, and ensure comfort; manage patient flow and routine QC.
- Participate in call coverage: every 3rd day after 6:00 PM and every 3rd weekend; float to other outpatient areas as needed.
- Support diverse exam types including vascular and pediatric imaging as assigned.
Requirements
- NY state license in hand at time of submittal
- ARDMS certification required; BLS required
- Minimum 1 year ultrasound experience; community hospital and outpatient setting experience required
- EPIC charting experience required; demonstrated proficiency
- Preferred: ARRT-Sonography, RDMS (AB, OB, BR, Peds), RVT; biopsy experience preferred
- Ability to work in an outpatient setting and float as needed
