This travel assignment places you in a hospital setting delivering comprehensive occupational therapy services to patients across the lifespan. The role focuses on planning, delivering, and evaluating individualized care to help patients develop, regain, or maintain independence in daily activities.

Responsibilities
- Perform clinical assessments to identify patient needs and determine appropriateness for therapy
- Document, revise, and complete Plans of Care, progress notes, phone orders, and other clinical records on an ongoing basis
- Facilitate direct therapeutic intervention to address ROM, strength, coordination, adaptive equipment needs, environmental modifications, functional mobility, and safety related to ADL performance; fabricate and maintain adaptive equipment and hand splints
- Evaluate occupational performance across self-care, work, leisure, and rest; assess sensory-motor, psycho-social, and cognitive-perceptual components; consider environmental factors in the patient’s occupation
- Apply infection control and universal precautions in patient care activities
- Accept clinical assignments consistent with education and competence
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient status
- Document procedures, organize data, and maintain accurate records
- Communicate relevant patient information to physicians and caregivers while protecting confidentiality
- Support compliance with third-party payers through education and guidance
- Perform troubleshooting and basic maintenance, cleaning, and setup of occupational therapy equipment
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements
- Active state license as an Occupational Therapist – Required
- Current CPR certification – Required
- Current driver’s license – Required
- Reliable transportation and insurance – Required
- Minimum of two years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting – Required
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally as needed
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, pulling/pushing, and prolonged standing/walking
