Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, noting changes in health status and behavior.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; document interventions in the charting system.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
- Provide patient and family education on condition management, medications, safety, and follow-up care.
- Monitor safety, respond to clinical changes, and apply de-escalation or crisis intervention techniques as needed.
- Communicate effectively with case management and other health professionals to coordinate care and discharge planning.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Vermont (in good standing)
- Nursing degree (Associate or Bachelor’s) from an accredited program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 1+ year of clinical experience in intellectual/developmental disabilities or community mental health preferred
- Ability to work the day shift in a travel assignment with guaranteed 40 hours per week
- Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment
