Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services under supervision to patients in an inpatient rehab program
- Implement and adjust individualized treatment plans to improve functional mobility, activities of daily living, and therapeutic outcomes
- Conduct patient evaluations, document progress, and communicate findings to the supervising OT and interdisciplinary team
- Select and apply therapeutic activities and modalities appropriate to patient goals and safety considerations
- Monitor patient responses to therapy, report changes, and participate in discharge planning and home program instruction
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the charting system and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
Requirements
- Ability to perform the duties of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in an inpatient rehab setting
- Experience in inpatient rehabilitation or skilled nursing facility environments is preferred
- Willingness to commit to a 13-week travel assignment and 35 guaranteed hours per week
- Eligibility to work in the United States and in the state of New Mexico for the duration of the assignment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with therapists, nursing, and rehabilitation staff
Education, Licenses, and Certifications
- Completion of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active licensure or certification as required to practice in the state of New Mexico (as per state regulations and job notes)
- Documentation of appropriate ongoing credentialing and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
