Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, individualized, high-quality, safe patient care in the ED as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Conduct initial patient assessments and ongoing monitoring; triage and respond to rapidly changing conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and ED protocols; monitor for adverse effects.
- Collaborate with licensed and unlicensed care team members; communicate with patients, families, and significant others.
- Document care thoroughly in the electronic health record; ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Uphold the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, the ANA Code of Ethics, and the organization’s practice framework; support evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Active RN license (Georgia) or eligibility to practice in Georgia
- Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced ED environment
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
- Demonstrated commitment to patient advocacy and safety
- Ability to comply with professional standards and hospital policies in the ED setting
