Responsibilities
- Perform mammography imaging procedures per department protocols and radiologist direction, with attention to ALARA and quality assurance.
- Verify exam orders, identify patients using two identifiers, obtain required informed consent, review medical history, and ensure prior studies are available before interpretation.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record, including charging procedures and supplies; document all relevant data for audit and reporting.
- Operate imaging equipment according to manufacturer recommendations; troubleshoot basic equipment issues and escalate hardware concerns to a service engineer as needed.
- Facilitate patient education and comfort, adhere to FDA guidelines for the mammography section, and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- May assist with cross-training in other modalities and support, as needed, while maintaining flexibility to adjust schedules.

Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Licensure/Certification: ARRT registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M); Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire/transfer).
- Experience: Two years of experience as a practicing radiologic technologist; cross-training into other modalities (e.g., CT, MRI, DEXA) preferred; experience with PACS and RIS/HIS.
- Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; successful background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Availability: Ability to work in a fast-paced radiology setting and participate in day shifts as scheduled.
