Travel Sleep Technologist Job
Sleep Technologist, Sleep Specialty — Grand Junction, Colorado — Start 06/08/2026 for 13 weeks — $1,562–$1,588 per week, guaranteed 32 hours — Night shift (3x12-hour shifts) — travel assignment in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate patient care for sleep study patients, including applying electrodes, belts, and sensors; perform bio-calibration and monitor polysomnogram; split study when criteria are met; provide oxygen therapy, CPAP, or BiPAP per policy; review data with the patient and prepare the room for the next study
- Stage and score data by reviewing sleep epochs between lights out and lights on, identifying sleep disorders (RERA, hypopnea, apnea) according to AASM scoring guidelines
- Document the patient record per departmental standards; prepare patient notes, record tests, responses to therapy, side effects, and patient/family teaching
- Review physician orders and patient charts, including labs, diagnostics, consultations, and nursing assessments/notes; ensure timely billing (often within 24 hours of service)
- Provide teaching or mentoring to patients, students, or other professionals; educate patients on oxygen use, CPAP/BiPAP, side effects, and the rationale for therapy
- Communicate with DME staff and other Respiratory Therapists to ensure continuity of care and patient safety; assist in teaching students and sharing knowledge to improve care and satisfaction
Requirements
- Associate degree in Polysomnographic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- CPSGT certification required
- An RPSGT credential must be obtained within 18 months of acquiring the CPSGT credential
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to work night shift and participate in a travel assignment
