Registered Nurse – Med Surg. This is a travel assignment in Atlanta, Georgia. Start date: 06/15/2026 for 8 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,561–$1,606 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 2x3 Days. Setting: hospital floor with high-acuity medical-surgical cases involving surgical and trauma populations. Assignment administered by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults on a high-acuity Med Surg floor with surgical and trauma presentations, including gunshot wounds and complex post-op recoveries.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, manage drains and wounds, and respond to patient condition changes following unit protocols.
- Document all nursing care and patient data in the EPIC electronic health record accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Nursing Support Techs, phlebotomists, and unit clerks; coordinate with ED and admitting teams to ensure smooth nurse handoffs and patient transitions.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, perform ongoing assessments, and participate in care planning and rounds with the multidisciplinary team.
- Adhere to shift-based assignments, maintain nurse-to-patient ratios (approximately 5:1 on this unit), and comply with no RTO restrictions and block-scheduling avoidance.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the United States; eligible for Georgia licensure.
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience, with exposure to high-acuity surgical/trauma patients.
- BLS required; ACLS preferred.
- EPIC electronic health record experience required.
- Nursing degree (ADN or BSN) from an accredited program.
- Ability to work the assigned shift (2x3 Days) and tolerate a fast-paced, high-acuity environment; no block scheduling and no RTO requests.
