Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department in a travel assignment within a hospital setting located in Utica, New York. Start date 07/27/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay range is $2,284–$2,438 per week with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Night shift schedule, 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with a 2x3 Nights pattern; block scheduling is not guaranteed. This is a temporary travel assignment managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ED for all ages, including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Perform triage, rapid assessment, order entry, and ongoing clinical evaluation; document in the EMR
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, monitor cardiac rhythms, and respond to critical events
- Participate in resuscitation efforts and Code team activations; coordinate with multidisciplinary ED staff
- Manage care for high-acuity presentations such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, and respiratory failure
- Maintain unit safety, patient flow, and appropriate disposition; float to related ED areas as needed
Requirements
- Active New York RN license; NURSYS license verification required; ALL RN licenses must be verifiable
- 2+ years of ED experience with some pediatric exposure; documented travel experience required
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC; TNCC must be in hand at submission
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics
- Ability to meet local rate requirements if within 75 miles (local rate applies)
- Up-to-date resume reflecting ED experience and travel assignments
- RTO (Requests for Time Off) must be included at submission
- Skills checklist matching ED specialty
