Surgical Tech | Travel - Temporary Assignment in Glendale, CA starting April 13, 2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,322-$1,399 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room and scrub for general laparoscopy and neuro procedures; maintain sterile technique and assist the surgical team throughout cases
- Anticipate needs of the surgeon, pass instruments, and manage counts for sponges, needles, and instruments
- Ensure proper tissue handling, specimen labeling, and documentation of counts and intraoperative events
- Maintain equipment and instrument turnover between cases; report any issues promptly
- Position patients per procedure requirements and support intraoperative safety and asepsis standards
- Communicate clearly with the surgical team and maintain an organized, safe work environment
Requirements
- Education: High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s/Technical degree or equivalent preferred
- Certifications: CPR or BLS required; Surgical Tech certification preferred
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the submitted unit specialty within the last 3 months; operating room experience and/or related training preferred; scrub technician experience preferred
- Additional: Ability to work in a fast-paced OR environment; strong adherence to sterile technique and patient safety standards
