Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to residents in the LTC setting, focusing on activities of daily living and mobility to promote independence.
- Conduct assessments and participate in initial evaluations; contribute to treatment planning and goal setting under applicable supervision.
- Implement and document treatment plans; monitor progress and adjust goals in collaboration with the OT team and interdisciplinary staff.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic records and ensure compliance with regulatory and facility policies.
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, social work, and family members to coordinate care plans, discharge planning, and safety precautions.
Requirements
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential
- Ability to work a 13-week travel assignment in a long-term care setting
- Availability to work the Day shift
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to comply with state regulations and facility policies
