Travel Registered Nurse SNF Job
Quincy, CA
Contracted
Plumas District Hospital
Mid Level
Embark on a transformative journey as a Registered Nurse in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), where every shift is an opportunity to elevate patient well-being, guide families, and advance clinical mastery. In this role, your clinical judgment, compassion, and leadership will shape safer, more dignified lives for residents who rely on skilled, continuous care. You’ll orchestrate assessments, implement evidence-based protocols, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and mentor budding caregivers to uphold the highest standards of SNF practice. This assignment in Quincy, California starts on 03/12/2026 and runs for an extended period, with generous guaranteed hours designed to provide stability while you grow your career in the SNF specialty. Expect competitive weekly compensation in the range of $2,422 to $2,626, reflecting your experience and the responsibilities of the role, and the opportunity for extension based on performance and service needs.
California, and Quincy in particular, offer a compelling backdrop for professional fulfillment and personal well-being. Nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills, Quincy provides a safe, close-knit community atmosphere paired with access to outdoor adventures, pristine streams, and year-round recreation. The region’s natural beauty invites recovery and resilience, making it an ideal setting to deliver compassionate care while maintaining balance outside the hospital walls. Separately, California’s diverse landscapes and dynamic healthcare environment open doors to experiences across multiple locations within the state and across the United States. This means you can expand your SNF toolkit—ranging from acute post-acute transitions to chronic disease management—while enjoying exposure to different resident populations, care models, and best practices. The opportunity to rotate to additional locations is designed to enhance your clinical confidence and professional visibility, all while you continue to provide person-centered care.
Role specifics and benefits:
As a SNF RN, you will lead and participate in essential nursing duties, including comprehensive assessments, medications administration, chronic and acute disease management, pain control, wound care, IV therapy, and early recognition of deterioration. You’ll design, execute, and refine individualized care plans; collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and dietary staff to coordinate transitions of care; and advocate for residents’ goals, preferences, and values. You’ll monitor outcomes, document changes accurately in electronic health records, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives that elevate safety, satisfaction, and functional recovery. A core focus is fall prevention, infection control, and mobility enhancement to maintain independence and enhance quality of life for SNF residents. As you progress, you’ll have opportunities to assume leadership roles, contribute to policy development, and mentor new hires, bridging clinical excellence with team cohesion.
Beyond clinical duties, the position emphasizes strong, tangible benefits designed to attract and retain top talent. You’ll receive competitive compensation with a weekly pay range of $2,422 to $2,626, reflecting your expertise and the demands of SNF care. A sign-on bonus may be available, and housing assistance is provided to ease relocation and living setup. The structure includes extension opportunities, enabling you to extend your assignment based on performance, service need, and mutual interest. A robust support framework accompanies you throughout the journey: 24/7 dedicated support from our travel and clinical leadership teams ensures you’re never navigating challenges alone, whether you’re coordinating with facilities, adjusting care plans, or managing unexpected situations on the road. In addition, you’ll have access to ongoing professional development resources, specialty training within SNF practice, and a clear pathway toward certification or advanced practice opportunities as you grow.
Company values:
Our organization is built on a foundation of empowering staff, recognizing that satisfied, well-supported nurses deliver the best resident care. We foster a culture of respect, continuous learning, and collaboration, where caregivers are encouraged to voice ideas, pursue career advancement, and build lasting relationships with peers and leaders.
