Occupational Therapist – Acute Care in Glendive, Montana, United States. Start date May 18, 2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing occupational therapy assessments for residents in a long-term care setting.
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans addressing ADLs, mobility, cognition, and functional goals.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions (individual and group) to support independence and safety in daily activities.
- Document progress and outcomes accurately in the client’s medical record and communicate findings with the interdisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, social work, and medical staff to support discharge planning and optimal resident outcomes.
- Educate residents and families on therapy goals, home programs, safety strategies, and caregiver training as appropriate.
Requirements
- Current OT license in good standing (per job notes guidance)
- Ability to work effectively in a long-term care/nursing home setting
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Availability for Day shift on a travel assignment with 36 hours per week
