Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside care for adult and geriatric patients on a med-surg/step-down-telemetry pathway, adhering to unit and facility standards
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, assess and adjust care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals
- Support telemetry and acute care needs, including IV therapy, wound care, and routine procedures as assigned
- Document all patient care accurately in the EMR systems Paragon and Pxyis; ensure timely updates to the care plan
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, respond to clinical changes, and participate in RN-led patient rounds
- Adhere to BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS requirements; comply with unit-based nurse-to-patient ratios (RN ratio example provided as 6:1)

Requirements
- 1–2 years of step-down/telemetry experience on a med-surg or similar unit
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Travel experience highly preferred
- EMR experience with Paragon and Pxyis
- Ability to work weekend, 12-hour shifts, with schedule variation as assigned
- Adult/Geriatric patient population experience
