Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) travel assignment. Start date: 05/18/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,394-$2,511 per week. Shift: 3x12 Nights (36 hours per week). Setting: hospital-based L&D unit. This RN-led role manages OB triage, outpatient testing, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery care. The unit does not circulate or scrub in the OR. OBIX is used for fetal surveillance and EPIC for the electronic medical record; experience with these systems is highly preferred. You will apply the nursing process, educate patients and families, document care in the medical record, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive obstetric care.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for obstetric patients using the nursing process
- Manage OB triage, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery care within the L&D scope
- Monitor fetal status and perform fetal surveillance, including use of OBIX
- Administer medications, perform assessments, and implement care plans
- Document patient care in EPIC and maintain accurate medical records
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall obstetric care
- Educate patients, significant others, and support persons about care plans and expectations
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience with current fetal heart monitoring
- BLS (AHA) required; NRP required
- OBIX and EPIC experience highly preferred; EFM and STABLE certifications highly preferred
- Licensure: RN license holder in good standing; license requirements not needed to be active at submission but willing to obtain
- Certifications: must be willing to obtain certifications if not currently active
- Ability to work in a hospital-based L&D setting on a night shift
