Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults and geriatrics undergoing diagnostic or interventional cardiac catheterizations and IR procedures in a combined Cath Lab/IR Lab
- Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac caths, PCI, angiography, embolization; manage IABP/Impella devices as needed; pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction
- Support IR procedures including drains, biopsies, nephrostomy, kyphoplasty, hepatic/renal angiography
- Monitor procedural sedation, dysrhythmia interpretation, and administer emergency medications; perform phlebotomy and IV start/maintenance
- Collaborate with IV team, RT, radiology, pharmacy, transport, social services, interpretation services, unit secretary, and rapid response; ensure patient safety and accurate documentation in Epic
- Maintain equipment readiness and ensure supplies are available for cath/IR cases
Requirements
- Active New York RN license in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years’ Cath Lab experience with hands-on Cath Lab and IR procedures; IR-only profiles not accepted; note: system shows 1 year requirement—confirm with account manager prior to submittal
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Epic charting experience
- Education: RN degree; current licensure to practice in New York
- Ability to work in a combined Cath Lab/IR Lab setting and to float as needed
- COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine status unknown
- State license requirement: New York RN license in hand; locals within 75 miles not accepted
